Located in a mountain range more than 50 kikometres from Da Lat city, Pongour waterfall is as high as 40 metres. From that height of waterfallsfall down to a big lake below producing great noise the echo of which can be heard far from the waterfall.

From a height of 30 meters the mass of water speeds and booms down seven floors into a big pool, creating sonorous thunder-like sounds, especially in the rainy season when it is more violent

Dalat is well known as the city of love since it has beautiful and poetic landscapes with many waterfalls, lakes, springs, pine hills, etc. Pongour Fall is the popular spot that tourists shouldn't miss once traveling here. Its current name transcribed from the local name K'Hor by a French means the master of kaolin area.

Pongour Waterfall lies within the area of Tan Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province, 45 km from Dalat city and 20 km from No. 20 Highway. Pongour is regardeded to as “the No. 1 waterfall of the south”.
